Qilu Institute of Technology (formerly Xingtan College, Qufu Normal University), founded in 2005, is a comprehensive, private institute approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education. This institute, with its concentration on science and engineering, offers 32 Bachelor’s degree programs in such diverse fields as science, engineering, economics, law, management, liberal arts, and art,etc.. It also offers 40 certificate programs which are recognized by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China.
Qilu Institute of Technology is invested and operated by Dr. Chang Cuiming, the Chairwoman of Board of Trustees and President of the Institute. She received her BA of Medical Science from Shandong Medical University and her PhD from Beijing Normal University. During her over 20 years of university management, she has been awarded as “Outstanding Female Entrepreneur”, “Woman Pacesetter of Shandong Province”, “Top 10 Model of Female Entrepreneur of Shandong Province” and “Top 10 Female Entrepreneur of Development of Shandong Province”, etc..
The institute has two campuses. The Jinan campus locates in the east of Jinan which has a history of more than 2700 years and is a rich mixture of traditions and natural scenes. The Qufu campus is located in the east of Qufu-- a famous cultural city known as the hometown of Confucius. Profound historical and cultural background culture and beautifully natural landscape has provided students with a good study environment. The Qufu campus, taking advantages of the geographical and cultural advantages of the hometown of Confucius and carrying forward the fine tradition of Qilu culture, has welcomed many students from around the world for study and exchanges.
